The Kansas: Turn On the TV Captions Now petition requests businesses in the state of Kansas to turn on and leave on the TV captions in public places during business hours whether the sound is muted or not. Some people think this is already the law. We hope to educate public that information is a basic civil right so this does become the law. It is free to turn on the TV captions on all public TVs.
To help advocators of this important petition to have a tool to use, the mini campaign cards can be printed from home or work to leave in an office lobby for clients, or purse, wallet or car for easy access.
It is easy to begin a conversation at a business where the captions are turned off by giving the employee the card and politely explain why turning on the TV captions is so important.
If you are able to access Google Drive, you may print the mini campaign cards from:
If you cannot print from Google Drive, please write us at HLAAKC@gmail.com and we can send you the cards in .pdf format.
