Summary
A hearing aid or cochlear implant by itself is often not enough to hear conversations and alerting sounds. Numerous technologies are designed to help people with hearing loss enhance telephone communication, TV reception, hear alerting/warning sounds, and listen in various kinds of public venues. This presentation will focus on how one device, a smartphone, can serve as a hearing assistive technology.
