Hearing Loss Association of America Kansas City Chapter honors our nation’s men and women who have served our country. Most of us have connections to a veteran through our families or communities. We wish all of you a day of peace to reflect what your loved ones have given for the sake of our freedom. When you think of a veteran who may have loss hearing from their time in service, please let them know HLAA offers all veterans one year free membership. For more details see the headquarter’s Hearing Help for Veterans for a complete description of benefits for veterans.
Remember to hang your American flags to show your patriotism. Take a few moments to think about what veterans have done in all the wars since WWI. Wear a poppy, a special symbol for veterans. If you see a veteran in public, just take a second to say thank you or pay for their meal. Their smile of gratitude by your simple gesture may just make their day as yours as well. And HLAA chapters are here if any veteran with hearing loss and their family needs information, education, support or advocacy. If interested in the Kansas City chapter, please contact one of our committee members or email hlaakc@gmail.com.
Thank you for those who serve our country to protect our freedom!
